Design and rollout of RevenueCat's 2026 State of Subscription Apps Report

State of Subscription Apps 2026 is the world’s largest and most comprehensive subscription app data set, giving insights into in-app subscription performance benchmarks. The report draws on subscription app performance data from a wide range of apps that use RevenueCat’s platform. The goal is to provide a comprehensive snapshot of how apps are performing under different scenarios, across both the iOS and Android ecosystems.

We conceptualised and created a template ahead of time (as the data was being compiled and processed up until the very last minute), which allowed us to quickly create the data visualisation and flow the content in as it was supplied to us by the RevenueCat teams.

The team worked tirelessly to deliver the final report in a matter of weeks to hit the launch announcement, a true client/agency collaboration. We also developed a series of launch assets for the rollout of the report across RevenueCat's social media channels.

The final report was 338 pages and surpassed 1000 downloads in the first 6 hours after release, it continues to be a staple download on the RC website.

After completing the final digital download, the team at RevenueCat pitched the idea to create a smaller, print version showcasing the first section of the report.

We then worked to adjust the layouts to work as an A4 landscape printed book.
